Wayne Valis has over three decades of experience in federal public policy issues, building a strong track record of success on public policy issues and business development.
As a senior advisor to Majority Group, Wayne assists clients in a number of areas, including strategic legislative counseling, public policy development, business development, government relations, lobbying, and conference planning/management. Wayne actively works with trade and professional associations, corporations, public interest groups, the White House, Executive Branch agencies, and Members of Congress to create and manage coalition efforts on behalf of clients with a broad variety of interests, including environmental, educational, regulatory, trade, transportation and more.
Among his many notable accomplishment, Wayne has personally served three U.S. Presidents: Nixon, Ford, and Reagan. From 1981-83, he served as Special Assistant to President Reagan for liaison with business, working on the Economic Recovery Program. As President Reagan’s coalition builder with the business community, he worked with over 1,000 trade associations, corporations, companies, and public interest groups. His special assignments included the landmark budget and tax legislation of 1981 and 1982, AWACS, and other issues. In addition, he assisted then-Vice President George Bush on regulatory reform issues.
