Hayden Rogers has over a decade of political and policy experience, most recently as Managing Director of a Washington, D.C-based bipartisan consulting firm. Prior to that, Hayden served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV). As the Senator’s Chief of Staff, Hayden managed a staff of almost 50 people and advised the Senator on a host of nationally important issues, including the Senator’s work on the Armed Services, Energy and Natural Resources, and Commerce, Science and Transportation Committees.
Prior to serving as Senator Manchin’s Chief of Staff, Hayden ran for North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District, after serving as Congressman Heath Shuler’s long-time Chief of Staff and top advisor. As Chief of Staff to Congressman Shuler, Hayden oversaw the operations for the congressional office and advised the Congressman on his roles on the Budget, Transportation and Infrastructure; Small Business; and Natural Resource Committees.
During his time in Congress, Hayden was actively involved with the Blue Dog Coalition, a caucus of moderate and conservative Democrats, and gained valuable experience as a political strategist. He was well-known throughout his career on Capitol Hill for his ability to reach across the aisle to build coalitions and achieve solutions. Upon announcing his departure from the Hill, Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid called Hayden “one of the best people I have worked with in the Senate…he is reliable, dependable, and he gets things done.”
Hayden began his professional career as a small businessman and entrepreneur. For over 10 years, he established and grew several business ventures throughout Western North Carolina and Tennessee.
